Grassmyer, Nicholas: 1977

Nicholas Grassmyer, age 16, was last seen alive while walking home from a friend’s Bellwood home on September 10, 1977.  Two days later his body was discovered beside the road, five miles northwest of Tipton.  His skull had been fractured.  State police stated the boy had not killed where the body was found.  His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grassmyer, offered a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his killer.
