Kaplan, Gene: 1977

Gene Kaplan was shot in the back of the head by her estranged husband, Charles Kaplan, 46 years old at the time.  The murder took place on May 31, 1977, at the victim’s Altoona home.  She was just 20 years old,.  Kaplan then shot himself.  Coroner Charles Burkey ruled the deaths a murder/suicide.
