O’Hara, Edward: 1927
Edward O’Hara was murdered on Labor Day, September 5, 1927, at Claysburg, by Meal Williams (colored). Williams fled to Washington D.C., but had a telegram forwarded to where he was staying. Apparently he was curious about how things were going at home. The Roaring Spring Chief of Police, Emory Beegle, and Constable Harry M. Gill of Altoona, arrested Williams in Washington and returned him to Blair County to stand trial.
