Walls, Alfred: 1981
Alfred Walls was killed by his childhood friend, Robert Montgomery. Montgomery pleaded guilty to shooting his friend during an argument in 1981. In the courtroom, Montgomery expressed remorse for killing Walls, who had been his friend since they were two years old. The friendship had lasted twenty-two years. Montgomery was convicted of third-degree murder, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment for the slaying of the Juniata man. Judge Richard Behrens sentenced him to 7 to 15 years.
